Reps. Jeff Landry, R-New Iberia, and Charles Boustany, R-Lafayette, are fighting not only for the newly redrawn 3rd Congressional District seat, but apparently also for the unofficial title of Congress' No. 1 drilling advocate.
Here's how the two are described in news releases and bios in their campaign websites: Landry: "With a unique Cajun accent, Jeff quickly became known as the leading voice in Washington arguing for more oil and gas drilling in the Gulf to protect our economy." Boustany: "Boustany is Louisiana's leading voice for American energy production."
