Adams and Reese LLP has acquired Jacksonville, Fla.-based Volpe, Bajalia, Wickes, Rogerson & Wachs, growing the New Orleans law firm to 15 offices nationwide and five offices in Florida.
The firm already has Florida offices in Tampa, Tallahassee, St. Petersburg and Sarasota.
The merger was announced jointly by Adams and Reese managing partner Charles P. Adams Jr. and VBWR shareholder Timothy W. Volpe.
“Our firm’s strategic plan directs selective growth in targeted markets, and Jacksonville has been in our sights for some time” Adams said.
Volpe will serve as the partner in charge of the Adams and Reese Jacksonville office, which has 12 attorneys.
Adams and Reese now has 313 attorneys in 15 offices in 14 markets. In addition to its five Florida locations, the firm has offices in Birmingham and Mobile, Ala.; Memphis and Nashville, Tenn.; Baton Rouge and New Orleans; Jackson, Miss.; Houston; and Washington, D.C.
