BATON ROUGE — Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA) President Tommy Faucheux released the following statement commending the Trump administration and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management's (BOEM) announcement of the Draft Proposed Program (DPP) for the 11th National Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program. This "5-year plan" outlines a robust schedule for offshore oil and gas lease sales on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf, including in the Gulf of America.

“The Trump administration’s draft five-year offshore leasing plan puts Louisiana to work and is a welcome commitment to furthering America’s energy dominance,” said LMOGA President Tommy Faucheux. “By expanding access and supporting investment in the Gulf of America, President Trump is creating jobs, strengthening energy security, and delivering vital funding to restore Louisiana’s coastline.”

The release of this DPP begins a 60-day public comment period. BOEM will then release a Proposed Program for public comment before finalizing the 11th National Out Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Program.
