The Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA) made the following remarks regarding the Senate’s vote to confirm Deputy Secretary Tommy Beaudreau to help lead the U.S. Department of Interior.
“LMOGA looks forward to working with Tommy Beaudreau in his role as Interior Deputy Secretary and we are hopeful his diversified experience in the energy industry will lend itself to a balanced approach to developing our nation's energy policy,” said Lori LeBlanc, LMOGA Vice President.
“Having collaborated with Deputy Secretary Beaudreau during the Obama administration, he has demonstrated his ability to be an effective leader during times of change and we believe he can be instrumental in leading our country during an energy transition,” said LeBlanc. “Louisiana has a long history of producing American energy in the Gulf of Mexico and our members are committed to continuing to do so in a safe and environmentally sustainable way.”
