The Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ashley Cain to Director of Public and Government Affairs. In this new role, Cain will help lead LMOGA’s public and government affairs strategy to represent and promote Louisiana’s oil and natural gas industry through effective engagement, communications, and advocacy with the state legislature, local officials, the media, and the public.

A native of Louisiana, Cain has worked for the association for more than 11 years, most recently serving as Public Affairs Manager. She has extensive knowledge of the issues impacting Louisiana’s oil and natural gas industry, and strong relationships with our members and stakeholders.

“Since joining LMOGA, Ashley’s efforts managing LMOGA’s communications has positioned our association as a leading voice for the industry, and I’m excited to see her transition her many skills into the government affairs space while continuing to guide our overall strategy for public affairs,” said LMOGA President Tommy Faucheux. “Her broad experience and knowledge of our key issues, and our industry’s regulatory and legislative climate will be an incredible asset to Louisiana’s energy industry as we navigate the many challenges and opportunities ahead.”

“I’m extremely honored for the opportunity to continue to represent LMOGA and the industry in a new capacity,” said Cain. “Our association has advocated for Louisiana’s industry for nearly a century, and I’m humbled to be part of LMOGA’s future during such a pivotal time.”

Ashley joined the LMOGA team in January 2011. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University.
