The Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (LMOGA) took the opportunity to bring attention to the challenges and opportunities facing Louisiana’s oil and natural gas industry in a recent letter to President-Elect Joe Biden.
“Louisiana’s energy industry is critical to realizing the national economic and environmental goals set by Biden’s incoming administration, and the industry stands ready to work together with new leadership for a brighter future for our state and our nation in an orderly democracy”, said Tyler Gray, LMOGA President and General Counsel. “Our industry is tackling today’s challenges head on by delivering affordable and reliable energy while reducing emissions to the lowest levels in a generation.”
“State and federal policies that promote a robust oil and natural gas industry will be critical in rebuilding our economy and maintaining America’s status as an energy leader,” said Gray. “In the year ahead, LMOGA will continue to advocate for policies that promote technological innovation, advance modern energy infrastructure and support access and development of our state’s abundant oil and natural gas resources.”
In the letter sent to President-Elect Biden, LMOGA reinforced the need for a strong, long-term energy policy that spurs investment, promotes homegrown energy, protects much-needed jobs and recognizes the importance of a strong oil and natural gas industry for America’s future.
