The Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA) President Tommy Faucheux released the following statement on the U.S. District Court ruling that the Biden administration's "LNG Export Ban be stayed in its entirety, effective immediately."

“Today a U.S. District Court stayed the Biden Administration's ban on new LNG export permits. This ruling is good news for the Louisiana energy industry. The State of Louisiana’s successful challenge of this ban ensures that Louisiana natural gas producers and LNG exporters will continue to provide reliable energy to U.S. allies around the world without interruption. Louisiana is proudly home to three of the top eight domestic LNG export terminals. Louisiana LNG exports ensure the energy needs of our international allies are met without a threat to their national security and in a manner that supports our nation’s climate goals. In January, I wrote a letter to Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm urging her and the Administration 'to consider the broad, global benefits of LNG exports and serious consequences of any additional barriers that may be placed on this process.'"
