LMOGA Supports Governor’s Climate Initiative Task Force

The Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association (LMOGA) made the following statement regarding the announcement made today on Governor Edwards’ Climate Initiative Task Force:

“LMOGA is honored for the opportunity to partner with the broad coalition that makes up the Climate Initiative Task Force in working toward solutions to address climate change,” said LMOGA Vice-President Lori LeBlanc. “Louisiana has long been a global leader in energy production, and this task force allows our state to show the world that energy production and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.”

“The oil and natural gas industry is tackling our climate challenges head on, making significant investments in a cleaner future and making strides in reducing emissions to the lowest levels in a generation. Through the efforts of this task force and the actions of LMOGA members, Louisiana can become a leader in climate change solutions.”
